Why We Exist
More than a decade ago, I began navigating the world of special educational needs (SEN) as a parent.
At the time, there was very little reliable information available online or elsewhere in Pakistan. Inclusive schools were difficult to find, understanding of SEN was limited, and there were many misconceptions and taboos surrounding special education. Like many parents, I spent considerable time, effort and money searching for the right schools, professionals, therapies and support.
The process was often frustrating and disappointing. I encountered inconsistent services and approaches that did not give my child the support they needed. Most significantly, valuable time that could have gone into early intervention was lost, simply because I did not have access to the right people, information or resources.
Eventually, I began learning and advocating for my child myself. A centre in Singapore introduced me to an approach that placed parents at the centre of intervention and taught us how to put strategies into practice ourselves. I learned, trained and developed a much clearer understanding of what good support looks like. That experience has shaped how I approach SEN and inclusion ever since.
Since then, I have worked in inclusive education and headed the SEN departments in two of Lahore’s leading mainstream schools. This has given me first-hand insight into both the needs of individual learners and the systems schools need to support them.
As a parent and as a professional, I have seen the same problem. Information about SEN is scattered, services are hard to find and compare, and parents often do not know where to go, who to trust or what course of action to take. They search from one place to the next while valuable time that could be spent on interventions is lost.
I built Access Inclusion to give parents clear information, a place to start, and ready access to the right support.
That is the foundation of Access Inclusion.

Making SEN Support Easier to Find, Understand and Access
Access Inclusion is a platform dedicated to SEN and inclusive education in Pakistan, connecting families, schools, educators and professionals with the information, resources and support they need.
For families, we aim to provide practical information, guidance and access to a growing directory of schools, professionals, SEN services and Learning Support Assistants (LSAs).
For schools and educators, we aim to offer practical resources, guidance and consultancy services to help strengthen SEN provision and build approaches to inclusion that last.
Our aim is to bridge the gap between understanding SEN and finding the right support.
What We Believe
Every child deserves to be understood, supported and given the opportunity to participate and thrive.
Meaningful inclusion is about more than placing a student in a mainstream classroom. It requires understanding individual needs, adapting practice, building strong support systems and creating environments where every learner can belong.
We also believe that families and schools are partners. When parents have access to the right information, and schools have the knowledge, systems and support to respond well, children are better positioned to succeed.
Our Vision
We envision a Pakistan where inclusive education is understood, accessible and embedded into practice, and where families, schools and professionals can easily find the knowledge, resources and support they need.
Our ambition is to build a connected SEN community that helps families make informed choices, supports schools in strengthening their inclusion practice, and improves educational opportunities for children with diverse learning needs.
